Safe and sane fireworks will be lit, legally, in Lompoc for the first time this Fourth of July.
The city council voted in favor of the ordinance three to two.
The fireworks will go on sale at the end of next month.
The ordinance would let local non-profits sell safe and sane fireworks.
The annual fireworks show at Lompoc High School will go off on Independence Day.
