Los Padres National Forest officials say the Branch Fire in California Valley has grown to 515 acres.
It is currently 85% contained and full containment is expected by Monday night.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The fire broke out in rural California Valley Saturday afternoon.
There have been no reports of structure damage or injuries.

California Highway Patrol officials say no one was injured after three cars crashed at the top of the Cuesta Grade Sunday.
Officials say one car was flipped on its side, and two other vehicles were involved.
CHP officers are still investigating the accident.

Crews with CAL FIRE are on the scene of a small grass fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon near Highway 1 north of Harmony.
It started around 3:30 pm.
Firefighters say they arrived to find about two acres of grass burning.
They got a handle on the fire quickly, stopping its progression before 4:00 pm.
KSBY chief meteorologist Dave Hovde says a Wind Advisory is in effect for the area, with winds at 35 mph.
