    A wildland fire burning near Cayucos has grown to 15 acres.

    It broke out Monday afternoon off of Cottontail Road.

    Cal Fire says the fire is burning in grass and moving slowly.

    Firefighters are battling a small fire near Cayucos.

    It broke out Monday afternoon off of Cottontail Road.

    Cal Fire says 3-4 acres have burned.

    They are using aircraft to help fight the flames.

    Fire officials say an unattended candle caused a dorm fire at Cal Poly Wednesday night.

    The fire broke out at the Corralitos Building at the Poly Canyon Village Housing Complex around 7:48 p.m.

    UPDATE: Fire contained in Los Olivos

    UPDATE: Fire contained in Los Olivos

    A small vegitation fire was quickly contained after breaking out around 11:30 Tuesday morning in Los Olivos in Santa Barbara County.

    It happened in a grazed horse corral at the 2900 block of Brinkerhoff Road.

    The fire spread 2.2 acres and no structures were damaged despite previous reports.

    Firefighters have found the cause to be from a lawnmower.

    UPDATE: Progress of fire near Lopez Lake stopped

    Cal Fire says the forward spread of the wildfire near Lopez Lake has been stopped.

    The fire burned about two acres Friday afternoon on Hi Mountain Road.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.

    Cal Fire crews are battling a wildfire near Lopez Lake.

    It broke out Friday afternoon on Hi Mountain Road in the Upper Lopez Canyon area.

    As of 3:00 pm, the fire had burned about two acres.

    Flat tire sparks series of small fires

    Firefighters from San Luis Obispo and Monterey Counties are battling a series of spot fires along Highway 101 in the San Ardo area.

    A total of ten fires were sparked by a car driving on a flat tire. The CHP eventually was able to stop the driver who was unaware of the flat.

    At this time, the largest fire is ten acres.
