Fire officials say an unattended candle caused a dorm fire at Cal Poly Wednesday night.
The fire broke out at the Corralitos Building at the Poly Canyon Village Housing Complex around 7:48 p.m.

If you don't want to fight the crowds at the Avila Beach finish line Thursday, there are many other places to get a good look at the riders. People in Arroyo Grande are going to see some great action because it's one of three sprint legs in the race and cyclists will be going all out.

Cal Poly is planning to build a new student housing complex on campus.
The project would start in 2018.
It would offer a place to live for 1,400 first year students.
The plan is to build the new dorms on what is now a parking lot at the Grand Avenue entrance to the university.
Right now, Cal Poly currently has almost 7,000 beds on campus.
