13 hurt as tour bus crashes on California freeway

BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (AP) - A tour bus has crashed on a freeway east of Los Angeles, injuring 13 people.

KCBS-TV (http://cbsloc.al/18HLrbP ) says the driver lost control and hit a light pole and chain-link fence on an Interstate 10 off-ramp shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday. The Los Angeles County Fire Department says 11 people received minor injuries and two were moderately hurt.

CHP Officer Christian Cracraft (CRAY'-craft) says the bus remains upright and the freeway remains open.

He says around 40 people were on board.

The accident comes four days after a series of tour bus crashes on other Southern California freeways killed two people and injured dozens more.
