2 arrested in Calif for allegedly stealing formula

CORONA, Calif. (AP) - Two men have been arrested after they allegedly stole baby formula and tried to ram officers who were in pursuit during a chase that ended with a crash in downtown Corona.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports (http://bit.ly/1c9eDEm ) authorities received a call Saturday from security at a Wal-Mart store in Rancho Cucamonga where a large amount of baby formula had been stolen.

Security guards followed the two men and authorities caught up with them on Interstate 15.

Authorities say the suspects, whose names were not immediately released, tried to ram pursuing officers' vehicles at least three times. Police performed a pit maneuver and the suspect's vehicle flipped, but no one was injured.

Authorities believe the amount of formula taken was worth several hundred dollars.
