26 area football players score All-CIF honors

Seven Mission Prep Royals, six Lompoc Braves, four San Luis Obispo Tigers and three Atascadero Greyhounds were among the twenty-six Central Coast high school 11-man football players earned All-CIF honors from the CIF-Southern Section on Monday.

The overall numbers of players recognized this season is a huge jump from years past. Eighteen area players earned All-CIF last year and fifteen scored the honor in 2010.

SLO High's Jack Ferguson, Lompoc's Ainuu Taua, Willie Iribarren and Taylor Cornejo, Templeton's Ross Berry and Mission's Joey Hall were named All-CIF for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

NORTHERN DIVISION
OFFENSIVE TEAM
Back: Scotty Cusack, St.Joseph - 891 rushing yards and 12 TD runs, 658 receiving yards and 6 TD catches, 3 kickoffs returned for TD
Back: Colton Madrigal, Paso Robles - 1,553 rushing yards and 15 TD; 240 receiving yards and 2 TD catches
