4 firefighters shot, 2 dead, after responding to blaze in New York

Four firefighters were shot and two of them were killed after responding to a large fire in Webster, N.Y., early Monday.

When firefighters arrived on the scene of the fire in the Rochester suburb, they were fired upon by one or more shooters, police said.

Two of the firefighters are being treated for their wounds.

There is no longer "active shooting," according to police. Firefighters have resumed battling the blaze.

At least three homes and one motor vehicle were involved in the fire.
