4th of July events across the Central Coast

Many events are taking place across the Central Coast this weekend for the 4th of July. Here are some of them:

Paso Robles: Children's parade begins at 11 a.m. Costumes are encouraged. Then fun, games and music in the park from noon to 4 p.m. Concerts begin at 5 p.m. featuring "The Usual Suspects." Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

Templeton: Pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m. followed by a parade themed "Our Land of Liberty." After, celebrate in the park with games for children, the Lions Club 4th of July Auction, food, drinks, crafts, and live music at the Templeton Community Park starting at 10 a.m.

Atascadero: Bike ride, 5k, 10k, and one mile runs, food, music, pony rides, bounce house and games all day long at Atascadero Lake Park. Free admission to the Atascadero Zoo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free movie for kids at Galaxy Theater in the afternoon.

Santa Margarita: Parade, live music, art and craft fair and games from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cambria: Celebrations in Shamel Community Park begin at 11 a.m. There will be live music, relay races, pie-eating contests and games all day. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Cayucos: Parade at 10 a.m., sand sculpture contents, barbecue, peddler's faire and bingo at Vets Hall followed by fireworks at 9 p.m.

Morro Bay: Fireworks, music, food, and kids' games starting at noon.

Pismo Beach: Music, food, and fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.

Avila Beach: Pancake breakfast starting at the Community Center, followed by a Doggie Parade and Costume Contest at 11:30 a.m. on the Promenade. Then a parade of boats starting at 4 p.m., farmers' market and live music at Mr. Ricks starting at 8 p.m.

Arroyo Grande: Concert at Rotary Bandstand beginning at 1 p.m.

Santa Maria: Barbecue at Temple Bethel at 1 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m. at the Santa Maria Fairpark.

Lompoc: A parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at Centennial Park followed by a picnic with food and live music. The Lompoc Museum is holding a patriotic party on the lawn. Fireworks take place Saturday, July 5, at Lompoc High School with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Solvang: Vendors will be at the West Beach Waterfront from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parade starting at 11 a.m., followed by food, music, and events at Mission Santa Ines.

Goleta: Food, games, contests and activities begin in Girsh Park at 4 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Tickets are $6.

Santa Barbara: Parade at 1p.m., festivities at Chase Palm Park, and fireworks on West Beach starting at 9 p.m.
