A marriage of beer and wine in Buellton coming in April

There are a lot of wine events on the Central Coast. And a lot of beer events. Well, it's a celebration of both coming in April to Buellton.

On April 20th, Curtis Winery and Firestone Walker Brewing Company join forces for an evening of pairings at Firestone Walker's new Barrelworks facility in Buellton. The event coincides with the Santa Barbara County Vintners' Festival weekend.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy small dishes prepared by Firestone Walker's Taproom chefs, which will be available at five tasting stations amid the barrel stacks at Barrelworks.

The dishes at each station will be paired with both a wine from Curtis Winery and a beer from Barrelworks. Featured wines will include Curtis Winery's 2011 Viognier, 2010 Roussanne, 2010 Syrah, 2010 Grenache and 2010 Mourvèdre. Featured beers will include Lil' Opal, Berliner Weiss, SLOambic, Unfiltered DBA and XVI Anniversary Ale-all rare barrel offerings from Firestone Walker.

Tickets are $45 per person, inclusive of food, tastings, Curtis Winery and Firestone Walker logo glasses
