Pressure changes in the wake of a front that moved through the Central Coast Tuesday morning will produce strong winds thru this evening and a coastal wind advisory is in place until 9pm for winds which could be as strong as 40mph.
Skies should be generally clear but the winds will also produce cooler daytime highs: just 50s and low 60s at beaches to the lower 70s inland.
Winds will quickly change direction from the NW to NE for Wednesday and Thursday for some mild (but slightly gusty) weather until Friday morning when a cold front pushes through the Central Coast for increasing clouds and possible rain showers Friday morning (amounts would be very light, likely under .10").
Winds will pick up again after Friday's front for more gusty weather thru the weekend. It is spring and windy conditions are common, this forecast certainly fits that.
