Additional swine flu vaccine clinics scheduled for Santa Barbara County

Swine flu vaccinations for high-risk groups will be available at additional clinics in Santa Barbara County.

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department has scheduled clinics for pregnant women, children 6 months through 18 years, parents of infants 0-6 months, and healthcare workers who have direct patient contact.

People who fall into these categories can come to any of the following clinics:

SANTA MARIA
Santa Maria Public Health Clinic
2115 S. Centerpointe Parkway
Saturday, 11/21/09
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.*

SANTA BARBARA
Earl Warren Showgrounds
3400 Calle Real
Monday, 11/30/09
3 p.m. - 7 p.m.*

SANTA YNEZ
Veteran's Hall
1745 Mission Drive
Wednesday, 12/2/09
3 p.m. - 7 p.m.*

* Vaccination clinics will end at the designated time or earlier if the vaccine supplies are exhausted.

Adults with at-risk medical conditions should contact their physician or healthcare provider to obtain vaccinations. Other adult groups will be served at future community vaccination clinics when an increased supply of H1N1 vaccine allows the expansion of groups eligible for vaccination.

Questions may be directed to the PHD H1N1 Public Hotline at 1-888-722-6358.
