The hot shooting from Quinton Adlesh led the Mission Prep boys basketball team into the winners' bracket of the 14th annual Christmas Classic. The Royals won their Elite Division opener 54-47 over Marin Catholic on Thursday night.
Mission led 22-20 at the half thanks to 11 points from the sophomore guard. Adlesh drained his first four shots of the second half, three of which were 3 pointers. All told, Adlesh finished with a game-high 28 points.
Patrick Conroy kept the Wildcats in the ball game with 26 points. Marin Catholic was within four points several times in the final 2 minutes of the game, but could never get any closer.
