Fertility experts have created a test that help doctors identify healthy embryos for in vitro fertilization for a fraction of the cost.
Researchers at the University of Oxford used low cost DNA scanning methods to choose embryos that did not have chromosomal abnormalities. Implanting embryos that don't have defects significantly improves the chances the procedure will be successful. This new method costs about 2/3rds less than current scanning tests.
