The Central Coast can help the family of Alex Maier and the San Luis Obispo High community in their time of need on Friday.
Paso Robles High has agreed to move some games scheduled between the Bearcats and Tigers on Friday to San Luis Obispo High. One of the games is the varsity boys soccer team, the squad's first since Maier was involved in the accident Monday night.
Two soccer and three basketball games between the Tigers and Bearcats will take place on Friday at San Luis Obispo High. All games are free of charge, but donations will be accepted for the "Alex Maier Memorial Fund" at both the gymnasium and soccer field. The donations will go toward funding scholarships for graduating student(s).
The 17 year old Maier was one of the leading scorers on the varsity soccer team. The Tigers will return to the field on Friday for the first time since an 8-0 win over St. Joseph on Monday night.
The schedule of games is listed below.
