The Association of Amputee Surfers (AmpSurf) is gearing up for a big weekend of surf and fun supporting wounded war veterans and others living with disabilities. The 8th annual "Operation Restoration" weekend happens September 5th through the 8th. Activities include: a "Meet & Greet Dinner" at the Pismo Moose Lodge Sept. 5th; golf tournament fundraiser at Paso Robles Golf Club Sept. 6th; and two adaptive "Learn To Surf" clinics Sept. 7th and 8th. A "Farewell Luau Dinner" will also be held at the Sea Venture Sept. 8th.
Everyone is invited to come to the south side of Pismo Pier to watch both adaptive surfing clinics and cheer these valiant surfers on. "Opening Ceremonies" will be held at 8:30 am on Saturday, Sept. 7th. Participants will hit the water around 9:00 am to noon both Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7th and 8th.
To reserve your tickets for the "Meet and Greet Dinner" Sept. 5th or the "Farewell Dinner Luau" Sept. 8th, please call AmpSurf Headquarters at 773-0302 as space is limited. For more information click here.
