Annual "Loaves and Fishes" event helps local families in need

Wednesday is the annual "Loaves and Fishes Christmas Project."
Atascadero Loaves and Fishes group, Kiwanas Club, Coats for Kids, and the Salvation Army will distribute baskets, with everything needed to put a Christmas meal on the table.
Kiwanis and Toys for Tots will also pass out toys, while Coats for Kids will provide coats for local families. The Atascadero Loaves and Fishes service area includes Templeton, Santa Margarita, Creston and California Valley.
The event runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Atascadero Armory on Olmeda Avenue.
