Santa Maria Police have arrested one more person in connection with the body found in the back of a U-Haul Tuesday, bringing the total number to 3 arrests made Thursday.
The body of Santa Maria resident, Anthony Ibarra, 28, was found in a U-Haul truck that was parked in front of a home in Orcutt.
Police linked the body to a murder that had happened earlier in the week at a home located on the corner of Donovan and Blosser Roads.
In total, 7 people have been arrested in connection with this case. Ramon Maldonado, 37, and Reyes Gonzales, 42, are charged with murder with special circumstances, including torture and being part of a criminal street gang. Carmen Cardenas, 28, and Pedro Torres, 54, are charged with being accessories to murder after the fact.
