Anti-inflammatory drugs may help some breast cancer patients reduce their risk of recurrence.
Researchers at the University of Texas in Austin found there was a protective effect among obese and overweight women with hormone-related forms of breast cancer.
Data from more than 400 patients showed aspirin users had a 52 percent lower rate of recurrence.
The drugs appear to reduce inflammation in tumor cells and prevent them from growing and spreading.
