Arroyo Grande Strawberry Festival to feature 40 acts

There should be no shortage of entertainment at this year's Arroyo Grande Strawberry Festival. Festival organizers say there will be 40 acts on 11 Stages. There will also be more than 300 Booths, 3 Carnival Areas, Camel Rides and Street Performers.

It all happens the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Weekend, May 25th & 26th. It is billed as San Luis Obispo County's largest free Festival and is the primary yearly fundraiser for the Arroyo Grande Village Improvement Association.

Music genres include ethnic, folk, blues, reggae, jazz, country, funk, Latin & rock 'n roll. In addition to groups from Brazil, Italy and Peru, look for regional favorites such as the Shival Experience, the Crisptones, The Usual Suspects, the RKdians, Highway 1, the Moon Pie Band and Bubba Ramey. There will also be big band jazz with groups from Cal Poly University, Arroyo Grande High School and Nipomo High School.
