Atascadero drama students to hit international stage

The drama department at Atascadero High School has big summer plans. Students in the department have been invited to represent the Central Coast at The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland. It's one of the largest Theatre Festivals anywhere.

30 student actors and technicians will head to Scotland in August 2014. They'll perform "Footloose" four times there.

Of course a trip like this takes funding so they're working hard to make sure they can go. Part of that is a Dinner Theatre event in San Luis Obispo's Mission Plaza.

The students will perform "Curse of the Haggis" on Saturday, November 23rd at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $75.00 per person or $500 for a table of 8. That includes dinner, the Original Mystery Theatre Show, silent and live auctions, and a salute to Haggis. Beer and wine will be available as well.
