A summer tradition in the of Atascadero could be in jeopardy.
For the past 9 years, the city has held Movies in the Gardens at the Sunken Gardens Park on four Saturdays during the month of August. The Movies in the Gardens series is provided free to the public.
The city needs sponsorships to help cover the costs of the licensed movie rental, staffing and portable rest room rentals. If no sponsorships are received, the city says it will be forced to discontinue Movies in the Gardens.
Sponsorships range from $150.00 to $1,000.00.
A sponsorship application may be picked up at the Colony Park Community Center located at 5599 Traffic Way, can be emailed to you, or downloaded from the city website at www.atascadero.org. You can also have one mailed to you upon request.
All sponsorship applications, logos and payment must be received no later than April 15, 2013. For more information regarding sponsoring Atascadero's 2013 Saturday Movies the Gardens, please call (805) 470-3472.
