The latest Friday Night Highlights Play of the Week is one that made San Luis Obispo County history. Mission Prep quarterback Tyler Baty connected with Patrick Laird for a 40 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter in last week's 61-13 win over Greenfield.
It gave Baty 66 touchdown passes in his Mission Prep varsity football career. It also broke the previous SLO County record for 11-man football of 65 TD passes set in 2008 by Mission Prep graduate Dylan Morrow.
This season, Baty has 19 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions for the 5-0 Mission Prep Royals, who are ranked #1 in the CIF-Southern Section's Northeast Division for the second-straight week.
