Behind a team-high 9 points from Rudy Binkele and 15 rebounds from Josh Oliver, the Bearcats hung on for a 30-28 win over visiting Templeton in their season opener Tuesday night.
Paso Robles, led by head coach Matt Drake, improved to 1-0 on the season, while the Eagles start off 0-1.
Andy Garretson led the Eagles with 10 points.
Paso Robles led 18-9 at halftime.
Templeton is coming off an 11-15 season that included a first round loss in the CIF playoffs. Paso Robles is looking to bounce back from a 6-18 year where one-third of its wins came in the preseason against the Eagles.
