The Paso Robles softball team celebrated Senior Day with a 10-3 win over visiting Arroyo Grande in a Pac 7 League game on Tuesday afternoon.
The second place Bearcats improved to 8-3 headed into Thursday's regular season finale at St. Joseph. Arroyo Grande's playoff hopes took a hit as the Eagles fell to 4-7 in league.
The Bearcats scored twice in the first inning on a basehit from Megan Clark. She moved to third when a sacrifice bunt from Jenna Rogers was thrown away at first. Chloe Kerns hit a sacrifice fly to right to score Clark from third and Rogers scored on a wild throw to first base on a ground ball hit by Carly McCall.
Clark, Jenna Wookey, Kerns and Brylee Loya each went 2 for 4 for Paso. Loya and Kerns had 2 RBI, while Wookey drove in three runs.
The Bearcats stayed three games back of first place Righetti. The Warriors improved to 11-0 in league and 21-7 overall with a 9-2 win over Atascadero. Righetti ends the regular season on Thursday at San Luis Obispo.
