SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Taylor Anderson is a veteran for the San Luis Obispo Blues. The Aurora, Colorado native is in his third summer with the team.
Anderson has been well traveled through his college career. The junior began his college career at Northern Colorado before transferring to Cuesta College. After a year with the Cougars, Anderson moved on to Kansas State, where he sported a .449 on-base percentage this past season, second best on the Wildcats offense.
Anderson's dad, Mike Anderson, is the former head baseball coach at Nebraska. He led the Huskers to the College World Series in 2005.
"My dad would always give me the chance to do whatever I want and I'd always want to tag around with him and that would always be on a baseball field," said Taylor Anderson, "so whenever he was at the field, I'd always try to jump in the chuck and hang out and be at the field every day."
Anderson is hitting .333 for the Blues this summer, good for second best on the Blues offense.
