UPDATED: San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's investigating stabbing in Cambria

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing in Cambria.

Sheriff's officials said that the incident happened just before midnight on Saturday in the 6200 block of Green Valley Road in Cambria.

The Sheriff's Office said a pregnant woman was stabbed multiple times. She was taken to the hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Brian Michael Rodriguez Galvan, who they said was the woman's common law husband. The sheriff's office said Rodriguez Galvan is currently on parole.

He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $1 million.

Rodriguez Galvan faces charges of premeditated attempted homicide.

Deputies said there were several children at home when the stabbing happened, but none were injured.
