After helping their teams stay undefeated in league play last week, two area high school basketball players were honored on Monday by the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Roundtable in Orcutt.
St. Joseph High's Tatiana Dunlap was named Female Athlete of the Week. The senior forward averaged 27 points and nearly 12 rebounds per game to lead the Knights to a perfect 3-0 mark last week. She scored 10 points in a 67-27 Pac 7 League win over Righetti, dropped a season-high 39 points to go with 13 rebounds in a 78-52 win over previously undefeated Pioneer Valley and finished the week with a 32 point, 17 rebound effort in a 63-30 victory at Atascadero.

The Knights are off to a perfect 4-0 start in Pac 7 League action.
Chad Brodhead was named Male Athlete of the Week. The Cabrillo High junior averaged 15 points for the Conquistadores in two tight Los Padres League victories. He scored 18 points in a 65-64 win over undefeated Santa Maria. He hit two game-winning free throws in the final seconds against the Saints. He added 12 points in a 57-54 victory over Templeton.

The Conquistadores are a perfect 5-0 in LPL action.
