Brother charged in Navy officer's killing

SAN DIEGO (AP) - The brother of a Navy officer has been charged with stabbing him to death at a San Diego apartment.

U-T San Diego (http://bit.ly/11gQURW ) says 21-year-old Zachary Tenorio of Guam was ordered held without bail during a court hearing Wednesday. His arraignment was delayed after his lawyer requested more time for the family to work out legal representation.

Tenorio is charged with murdering Ensign Jonathan Tenorio of Guam, a Naval Academy graduate who was serving on a missile cruiser.

Police say the officer was found dead in his apartment on Sunday after his brother called police. He'd been stabbed in the chest.

Police haven't revealed a possible motive for the killing.
