St. Joseph's Case Bruton and Paso Robles' Molly Donovan led their respective teams to easy victories on Thursday at high school basketball tournaments.
Bruton scored a game-high 31 points for the Knights in their 91-60 win over University out of Irvine during day two of Marin Catholic's Tournament. The Knights led 87-47 with 4 minutes left when they implemented a running clock. Curry Parham added 12 points, while Keith Datu and Spencer Casarez scored 11 points apiece for St. Joseph. The Knights improved to 5-2 and face Rocklin in Friday's semifinals at 6:30 pm.
Donovan scored 22 points to outscore Lompoc on her own in the Bearcats' 51-18 victory over the Braves to open Righetti High's annual tournament.
The now 5-5 Bearcats play Santa Maria at 1:30 pm on Friday and Santa Ynez at 6:30 pm.
