Bullying may lead to psychiatric problems

People who were bullied as children are at a greater risk for developing anxiety disorders, depression and even suicidal thoughts.
A Duke University study of more than 1,000 children found both bully victims and bullies themselves had higher rates of psychiatric disorders compared to those who were never bullied.
Bully victims were also more likely to have panic disorders, anxiety and agoraphobia.
Researchers say bullying should not be considered a normal part of childhood, and warns it could have very serious long-term effects on victims and aggressors.
