The Cabrillo High girls water polo team extended its dynasty on the Central Coast. The Conquistadores beat Santa Ynez 11-4 in the Los Padres League championship game to capture their 11th-straight league title.
The Lady Conqs, ranked 7th in the latest CIF Division 5 coaches poll, improved to 17-7 on the year and 7-0 in league matches. Cabrillo has won 16 of the last 17 league titles, with the only year it did not capture the crown was in the 2001-02 season.
Tori Bray and Kayla Menjivar led the Conqs with 3 goals apiece.
The Conquistadores took an early 3-0 lead and never looked back behind one goal from Bray and two from Natalie Wilkie.
Cabrillo earned the league's #1 seed for the CIF playoffs. Santa Ynez is #2 and Nipomo is #3. The playoff brackets will be released on Sunday.
