The Cal Poly wrestling team defeated San Francisco State but lost to Columbia and Wyoming on Sunday at the Mustang Duals.
Cal Poly freshman 133-pounder Devon Lotito won all three of his three matches as the Mustangs topped San Francisco State 27-15 while falling to Columbia 28-13 and Wyoming 34-6. Lotito earned a 10-1 major decision against Columbia's Joe Moita, a 10-4 decision over Zach Zehner of Wyoming and a 15-12 decision over Isaiah Hurtado of San Francisco State. Lotito is now 21-6 on the year.
125-pounder Britain Longmire went 2-1 in the dual meets, earning a 9-4 decision over Penn Gottfried of Columbia and a 9-3 decision against Marc Collier of San Francisco State while losing 3-1 to Tyler Cox of Wyoming.
Sean Dougherty also earned a pair of wins for Cal Poly at 184 pounds, pinning Drew Rebling of Columbia in 5 minutes, 47 seconds and Calvin Nicholls of San Francisco State in 4:25.
Wyoming went 3-0 in the day-long event while Columbia was 2-1.
Cal Poly is 2-4 in dual meets this season. The Mustangs host CSU Bakersfield in a Pac-12 dual meet on Saturday at 7:30 pm.
