Kids who watch commercials are more likely to eat junk food, and have distorted view of healthy meals.
Researchers at the University of Michigan interview one hundred parents about their family's TV and food habit. They found those who came from food secure homes had flexibility in their budget. Those homes were more likely to watch food commercials and eat junk food.
Children from secure homes often had inaccurate views of healthy meals, such as, thinking a cheeseburger is healthy.
