Chilly and windy start to the weekend on the Central Coast

It's definitely going to feel like winter today, as the Central Coast will be experiencing another cold and windy day.

Expect much of the cold conditions to linger into the weekend, with a few showers and mountain snow showers. There is a frost advisory in place until 9am Friday morning, and a freeze warning remains in effect from late Friday night, through tomorrow morning. A few showers may stream into the coastal and valley areas, so definitely bring out the jackets and coats and bundle up today.

There is also a coastal flood advisory and a high surf advisory, with waves climbing up 10 to 15 feet.

A cold northerly flow is adding to the below normal temperatures, but there should be a gradual warm up by the middle of next week, as an upper level high builds in bringing warmer offshore breezes.
