CHP and sheriff's office looking for driver after pursuit through Santa Barbara County

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol are looking for a driver after a pursuit through parts of Santa Barbara County Monday night.

The Sheriff's Office says the pursuit started in Santa Ynez around 9:45 p.m. after a deputy attempted to pull the driver over for having a taillight out.

Officials say the driver then took off and the pursuit went up Highway 246, continuing on Highway 154 before heading into Happy Canyon.

The Sheriff's Office says the car has been located, but deputies and officers are still looking for the driver.

A CHP helicopter is also assisting.
