CHP responding to major injury accident near Santa Maria

California Highway Patrol tells KSBY News there is a serious injury accident on Santa Maria Mesa Road near Rancho Tepesquet Road in Santa Maria.
Officers tell us some of the people involved have serious injuries and a helicopter is airlifting them to a local hospital.
At least two cars are involved.
KSBY has a crew headed to the scene.
