The City of San Luis Obispo is posting signs to warn against sleeping in cars overnight.

Back in October the city council adopted a code as part of a settlement agreement with the SLO Homeless Alliance. The code calls for properly notifying the public that overnight camping in vehicles on city streets is prohibited.

People who violate the rules will be given a one-time warning before a ticket.
