Cold start again Tuesday with a frost advisory posted again

Frost advisory lows tonight, if you have any concerns for outdoor plants or animals you should take precautions. The advisory is in place for SLO and SB counties until 9am.

Another week without rain ahead. Last week's splash didn't put much of a dent in the deficit across the area. Most locations are running from 52 to 77% of normal rainfall. Certainly it does get much worse some years however last year we only got 60% of normal rainfall, that impacts arrival of fire season and reservoirs as well.

High pressure is building in and will create occasionally gusty offshore winds, especially in the middle of this week. Highs will be sluggish again Tuesday only getting into the lower to mid 60s, but upper 60s and even some mid seventies develop mid-week and last til the end of the week.

The weekend will cool a bit as high pressure breaks down, however it'll still get into the mid to upper 60s which is a big step up from the weekend we just exited where highs were only in the 50s and lower 60s.
