COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper says he doesn't think there's any doubt the parolee fatally shot in Texas is the person responsible for killing Colorado's corrections chief.
In comments to The Associated Press on Monday, Hickenlooper pointed to the fact that casings found at Tom Clements' home are the same caliber and brand as those found at the site of the gun battle that led to the capture of Evan Ebel. Ebel was also driving a car similar to one seen near Clements' home.
Hickenlooper said "it would turn out to be the most remarkable coincidence" if Ebel wasn't involved.
