Community Health Centers of the Central Coast open new facility

A new health center is open in Nipomo Saturday.
The Community Health Centers of the Central Coast held a grand opening for the new facility. The entire community was invited to an open house event.
The new facility offers extended hours and additional health services for current patients. It will also help people who qualify for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act in 2014.
"This facility is really going to be one of our super centers and allow us to operate seven days a week, probably 12 hours a day to meet that demand, so we're very excited," said Ronald Castle, the CEO of CHC Central Coast.
The Open House continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new 28,000 square foot facility is located at 150 Tejas Place.
