Community invited to check out emergency vehicles in Morro Bay

The Morro Bay Fire Department held an Emergency Vehicle Car Show Saturday.

New and older restored agency cars and trucks were on display.

The cars came from all over California, Nevada, Arizona, and even Germany.

Police, Fire, Ambulance, Military, Harbor Patrol, Coast Guard, and FBI cars were featured at the event.

"It brings our services that we deliver to the community into the community," said Amy Christey, Morro Bay Police Chief.

"We're bringing this to the community and they get to see how we work and what we do. They get to go in the vehicles, all the modern vehicles, and they get to pull the equipment out, take a look at all the vehicle equipment, all the police vehicle equipment," said Steve Knuckles, Morro Bay Fire Chief.

Guests could also check out a police badge display.

Funds raised at the event go to the Morro Bay Community Foundation and Neighborhood Watch Program.
