CT Scans can help detect early stage lung cancer more accurately than chest X-rays.
Researchers found CT scans caught roughly twice as many early cancers as X-rays during annual screens over three years. Doctors say their ability to detect cancer improves every year.
The studies come as the United States Preventative Task Force is considering whether to recommend annual scans for heavy smokers.
