Cuesta's Alyssa Palma earns Conference Player of the Week

Cuesta College sophomore Alyssa Palma has been named the Western State Conference's Female Athlete of the Week.
The Atascadero High graduate tallied 38 points combined in two games last week for the Lady Cougars. She poured in 21 in a loss at #2 ranked Ventura and followed it up with a 17 point effort in a victory against Moorpark.
Palma is averaging 14.4 points, 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds per contest for the Cougars.
Cuesta is ranked #12 in the latest Southern California Regional poll. The Cougars are 16-9 overall and in second place at 4-2 in conference. They've already clinched their first winning season in five years.
Cuesta plays Saturday at LA Pierce College.
