Cuesta wrestler Correa named State Athlete of the Month

Righetti High graduate and Cuesta College wrestler Matt Correa has been named State Male Athlete of the Month for October by the California Community College Athletic Association.
The sophomore is currently ranked #1 in the State at 125 pounds. Correa has won two individual titles, finishing first at the Sacramento City Tournament and the Meathead Mover Invitational. He also finished third at the San Francisco State Tournament, where his only loss was to a wrestler from a four-year college.
Correa is 21-2 on the season. His only other loss was due to injury.
He was not lost to a CCCAA wrestler this season.
