It's an historic artifact worth checking out in its own right, but this Friday, the Dana Adobe will also serve as an art gallery.
The Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos (DANA) will host an opening reception for an art exhibition featuring local artists on Friday, July 11 at 5:30 pm. Five local artists will be features showing watercolor, sculpture, oils and photographs. Look for pieces by Carolyn Leach, Daniel Kuras, Karen Floyd and the DANA's own, Aaron Regez.
"We are so excited to debut this exhibit of local art right here in Nipomo," Marina Washburn, executive director of DANA said. "We have five incredible artists exhibiting and donating a portion of the proceeds on each sale to the Dana Adobe. We want this art event to be the talk of the town."
The art exhibit follows at the end of the successful Gold Rush Fever! exhibit for the Dana Adobe, which closed at the end of June. DANA has scheduled a meet-the-artist exhibit opening reception from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm on Friday. After that, the exhibit will be open from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and other times by appointment.
Admission is free.
