LOS ANGELES (AP) - New Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zach Greinke was introduced to the media today, two days after finalizing a six-year, $147 million deal.
The deal is the richest for a right-hander in history and second-most for a pitcher trailing only left-hander CC Sabathia's $161 million contract with the Yankees.
Greinke split last season with Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Angels, going a combined 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 34 starts.
The right-hander finished the season going 5-0 with a 2.04 ERA in his last eight starts after Aug. 24.
The Dodgers have also added left-hander Ryu Hyun-jin, signing the South Korean star to a six-year, $36 million contract. The two latest signings will bring the Dodgers' payroll in 2013 to more than $225 million.
