Tonight, NBC airs the premiere of a creepy, new thriller about the original, immortal, undead, blood-sucking count.
This time, it's the late 19th century and Dracula is visiting London, posing as an American businessman who wants to bring the new technology, electricity, back to the states, to brighten the night.
But he also has a more nefarious goal--he wants to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality, centuries earlier.
While in London, he becomes infatuated with a woman who looks just like the reincarnation of his dead wife, played by Irish actress Victoria Smurfit.
What he doesn't realize about the object of his desire, is that she's also the woman who can knock him dead... literally.
Smurfit says, "He's grayson (Dracula's cover name), pretending not to be Dracula. She's Lady Jane, pretending not to be a vampire slayer. So there are lies within this relationship, but it's a very combative, passionate bit of fun."
Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as the count and the series kicks off tonight, just as the just as we gear up for Halloween.
Dracula airs right here on KSBY at 10 o'clock tonight, following "Grimm."
