Finding on ways high-risk chest pain patients survive longer

High-risk chest pain patients who saw a doctor within a month of being discharged from the emergency room had a significantly lower risk of death.

The canadian study looked at more than 50,000 patients. It found those who followed up with a Cardiologist were 20% less likely to have a heart attack and die within a year.

Patients who didn't seek follow-up care had the worst outcomes.
