Former Mustang Asa Jackson to miss AFC Championship with injury

Former Cal Poly All-American Asa Jackson has been ruled out of the Sunday's AFC Championship game. The Baltimore Ravens rookie missed practice this week with what the team called a thigh injury. The team's official injury report released on Friday said the fifth round draft pick would not play Sunday.
Jackson injured his thigh last weekend while on special teams duties in the playoff game against Denver. He did not register a tackle in the game.
It's been an up-and-down last few months for the rookie. After being listed as inactive for the first several games of the regular season, Jackson played three games on special teams and recorded one tackle. However, he violated the league's performance enhancing drug policy and was suspended for four games without pay. Baltimore media reported Jackson was suspended for unathorized use of the prescription drug Adderall. He finally returned last week and worked his way back and into the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Broncos.
Baltimore plays at New England on Sunday for a spot in the Super Bowl. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. California time.
